Our People

Marcus T. – Lead Technician

Marcus has been turning wrenches on residential HVAC systems in the Tampa Bay area for over 12 years. He holds his EPA 608 certification and is factory-trained on Carrier, Trane, and Lennox equipment, which means when he opens a condenser on a Westchase home or a Hyde Park bungalow, he knows exactly what he’s looking at. Marcus is the guy who finds the capacitor that’s been failing intermittently for three weeks or catches a refrigerant leak before it becomes a compressor replacement. He’s also the first to admit that Tampa in August is the only place where stepping outside feels like opening an oven door, but he’d still rather be on a rooftop in the heat than behind a desk. Off the clock, he restores old motorcycles and has a soft spot for rescue greyhounds.

Elena R. – Senior Installer

Elena leads our installation crew for full AC replacements and new system installs across Tampa, from Seminole Heights to Carrollwood. She’s been with the Cedarwell family of companies since 2016 and has installed hundreds of systems from Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard. Elena is a stickler for the details most people never see: duct sealing, drain line slope, proper refrigerant charge, and making sure the outdoor unit sits level and quiet. Before she ever starts, she walks the home with the customer and maps out exactly where the crew will walk, what will be covered, and how long the job should take. She keeps a photo album on her phone of particularly tight attic installs she’s proud of, and she’ll show it to you if you ask. At home, she’s got two kids and a rabbit named Capacitor.

Dave P. – Service Coordinator

Dave is the voice on the other end of the line when you call (728) 212-0500 at 3 a.m. on a Sunday or 7 p.m. on a Tuesday. He’s been coordinating HVAC service calls for more than a decade, and he’s the reason a live person always answers, whether it’s a no-cool call from a young family in Brandon or a furnace check from a retiree in Temple Terrace. Dave knows the Tampa grid well enough to give you an honest arrival window, and he’ll ask the right questions before the technician heads out so the truck is stocked with the right parts the first time. His desk is famously organized, and his pickup line to every caller is the same: “Tell me what it’s doing, and I’ll get someone there.” He coaches youth soccer on weekends and never turns down black coffee.

Jalen W. – Apprentice Technician

Jalen joined the team two years ago through a local trade school program and has been working alongside Marcus and Elena since day one. He’s already earned his EPA 608 certification and is working toward his full technician credential while learning the ins and outs of all nine brands Meadowsweet services. Jalen handles a lot of the preventive maintenance work, pressure checks, filter swaps, condensate line flushes, and the kind of careful, patient work that keeps systems running between major calls. He’s the one who always remembers to ask about pets before the crew walks in, and he carries his own stash of zip ties for tidying thermostat wiring the way Marcus taught him. On weekends, he’s usually fishing off the Skyway with his younger brother.
